Lupin fends off the Dementors on the train ...
This was drawn long after the Azkaban Project had finished, so I couldn't go stick it in the right place chronologically.  I've been working on drawing him from the right, see?  Much better than previous attempts!

I've been listening to Order of the Phoenix on CD at work and as much as I dislike Jim Dale's reading style, it has brought on a couple worthwhile drawings from this otherwise underrepresented book.

Enter Sirius.
Sirius grapples with the hangings across a screaming portrait.

SIRIUS: [to Harry]  I see you've met my mother.

In both these drawings, you can see a new robe design I've been experimenting with which ought to accommodate all descriptions and actions relating to robes.

Dolores Umbridge:  Everyone's favourite, by order of Educational Decree Number Forty-two!

I like my other one a bit better but thought I'd take another go at her.  In listening to the book I've noticed a number of descriptions that make her sound younger than the 60-something I've always pictured her, but it's too late now!  She is and always will be the saccharine and sadistic senior citizen, in my mind.

Sometimes, when one has been drawing relatively uninteresting things all day, the brain can lash out in unexpected ways.

That's all for now!  Back to the Art Page!
