Draco
Malfoy, dirty cheating scoundrel.
Here he's trying to impede Harry's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Firebolt in an annoyingly low-tech way. I'd never really given much thought to what Quidditch robes would look like as that was far less interesting than making characters act, so I kind of avoided the subject. But that's what movie costume designers are for. I didn't copy the movies' robes but they did inspire me. Or at least influence me.

Harry
exults in his win, and Lupin congratulates him on his Patronus.
This drawing very nearly didn't get made, mostly because at the time I drew it I was suffering from a cold and was too lazy to want to even think about a crowd scene. And really, this picture is half as effective without the crowd. But my good friend Miss Kauthen made a rather compelling argument that the world needs more Lupin and so... tadaaa! I'm pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, to be honest. |
Harry
sees... umm... a ... hippogriff? One could argue that the final exam
is not the best place to practise his bluffing-through-Divination skills,
but he ends up being more or less right anyway, so does it matter?
Yeah, yeah, I know there are scale issues here... |
Looking
back on it, the staging of this picture was probably most influenced by Calvin
& Hobbes, and the way Hobbes would tackle Calvin when he got home
from school. But I'm no Bill Watterson so this is a little less
fluid and brilliant.
In case you hadn't guessed by now, this is when Sirius (as a dog, of course) knocks Harry down in an attempt to get at Scabbers.
